KIDDING SEASON IS APPROACHING FAST

       Hello all and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!  I just wanted to touch base and let everyone know what's happening at the Terry Farm.  We are getting ready for kidding season.  We have several does due to kid in January and several more in February.  We should be able to accommodate both the earlier and later fairs as far as wethers are concerned.  We also have some very nice yearling does for sale.  I hope to get some photo's taken when we have a nice sunny day.  Hmmm...  
      We have a very nice young buck JTTF RED BEARD.  We have put one of our 18 month old does with him; due to kid in May, and are excited to see what he will throw for us.  If you are interested in our herd and would like to come out and see what we have to offer, give us a call.

Open Does For Sale

 Does #54, #56, and #60 were born in Spring of 2012.  The photo's of these does were taken in November of 2012.  Our two youngest does, #70 and #72 are our last kids born of Master Jose.  We would like to see these girls go as a set.  Photo's of these two were taken at the end of January 2013 at five months old.

KID PHOTO UPDATE

The kids are off to a good start.  We have them on Purina Show Chow Impulse Goat R-20 which they seem to be thriving on.  We chose Purina as they have a good reputation and there are many dealers that sell Purina products.  However, you may have to order this feed special as it does not seem to be a stocked item.  Also, some retailers will not special order, so then you would need to find an actual dealer in your area. We get ours from the Battle Creek Farm Bureau for $19.97 per 50 lb. bag. We will have some extra bags on hand the day you pick-up your project kid, or you may want to order this ahead of time.  If you want to change feed, we will have enough of this show blend on hand for you to ease the transition.  Here are some updated photo's of our kids.  We've had a special request for pictures of #61 and #65.

4-H WETHERS #79, #81, and #83

This set of wethers were born to Does of our own breeding.  The does were all sired by NSA S MASTER JOSE, he may be viewed in a January post under HERD SIRES.  JTTF LADY BUG is a full sister from a different kidding to our Jitterbug and Honey Bee. She is the daughter of MHR KATE.  JTTF EVIE MAE is the daughter of MHR ALLISON.  Both Kate and Allison are granddaughters of TARZAN T66  and are very large does, having very nice kids.  DUTCHESS is a percentage doe.  Her mother FAWN, came from a commercial herd.  While both are Boer goats in all appearance, Fawn is not registered and therefore we have no proof of her linage.  Once again, all of our wethers were sired by AABG NORTH BOUND, who may be viewed in a January post under HERD SIRES.  Photo's were taken on March 9, 2013-- just under 2 weeks old.

This page will show you the three buckling's born in a set of quadruplets.  We decided to help Mom out and took the two smallest (one being a doe) away to bottle feed.  We are milking another doe that lost her baby in a still birth, to supplement the milk re-placer that we are using.
